Founder / Station Manager

Amelia Sher

Hey, I’m the Founder and Station Manager of Sheridanlife Radio. I have previously interned and worked as an associate producer at CBC Radio. I am also a proud Sheridan Alumni from the Media Fundamentals and the Journalism program. My hobbies include Krav Maga, podcasting, being outdoors, sports and running. I also love a good movie or song.

My goals for Sheridanlife radio are to continue to build our legacy within and outside of the walls at Sheridan. I love my job and I love working with our students who enjoy creating content just as much as I do. It is an incredible feeling to hear from our SLR alumni who have gone on to do incredible things in the radio/media industry. Let’s make Sheridanlife Radio bigger and better together!

Technical Director

Jonathan Kirkwood

My interest in radio first started in high school when I began listening to radio plays and podcasts while completing homework. This interest compelled me to enroll in Media Fundamentals and BFTV here at Trafalgar Campus where a wonderful teacher, Alan Flint, encouraged me to join our college station. Over the years, I’ve gotten to know all the passionate and creative people responsible for giving a voice to Trafalgar campus and the rest of Sheridan College. So today, it is my mission as the Technical Coordinator at SLR to give SLR members the knowledge and tools necessary to bypass any technical barriers in their path so they may freely express their passions and broadcast their creativity through the medium of radio.

Carolyn Chang

Events And Engagement Cordinator

Hello! I'm Carolyn, the E& E Coordinator for TRC. I'm currently a student in the Journalism program here at Sheridan. I've previously worked as a freelance digital artist for over ten years and am interested in using my creativity for content creation in many different forms, such as podcasting or writing. When I'm not at work or class, I enjoy reading horror novels, watching animated films & shows, and making soup.

Here at SLR, I hope to spread awareness of our volunteer opportunities and give students the chance to experience the world of radio and broadcasting.

Music Director

Logan Girard

I'm Logan, the music director with SheridanLife Radio! I'm currently a journalism student here at Sheridan. I've previously done the Media Fundamentals program and a bit of Interaction Design as well.

My interest in broadcasting for live events has fuelled much of my passions, such as editing and photography. Radio was something that I've always found interesting, but had no idea how to get into for a long time.

Thanks to SLR, I've found my way in and I'm loving every minute of it. From making playlists and adding new music to the mix each week, to our live events, there's never a dull moment! I'm excited to be here to grow with the station and our amazing team!
